I: General

i. By using City-Wars (referred to as "City-Wars" "us" "administrators" "moderators" etc.) you (referred to as "user" or "you") agree to all of these terms. If you do not agree, leave the website immediately. The City-Wars administration has the right to ban anyone who does not follow these rules.

ii. If a user does not understand any of these terms it is the user's responsibility to contact the GAMEMASTER for further explanation. By continuing to use and surf the City-Wars website you agree to all of the terms.

II: Warranty and Liability

i. ALL CONTENT AND SERVICES ON CITY-WARS ARE PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

ii. CITY-WARS DOES NOT ENDORSE ANY OPINIONS AND/OR CONTENT ON THIS SITE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INFORMATION AND/OR OPINIONS ON THE FORUMS, USERPAGES, AND BLOGS.

iii. CITY-WARS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF INFORMATION OR DATA INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO YOUR USERNAME, PASSWORD, EMAIL, AND IP ADDRESS. CITY-WARS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATABASE CRACKS WHICH RESULTS IN A LOSS OR LEAK OF DATA. YOU AGREE THAT CITY-WARS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE SITE.

III: Confidentiality

i. City-Wars will not give out or sell your email address, IP address, or password under any circumstances.

ii. City-Wars will collect data from you, but City-Wars will only use this data for statistical purposes.

iii. By submitting your email address, you allow City-Wars and its staff to contact you through email for updates or important notices. (City-Wars staff members have the sole discretion to decide whether or not a notice is important)

IV: General Rules and Punishments

i. Posts, blogs, user-pages, user-names, etc. shall not contain any abusive, obscene, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Punishment for this includes closing down any and all of your City-Wars accounts, informing your ISP of your behavior, and, if necessary, filing charges.

ii. Users of the website will not attempt to hack the database, perform any DOS attacks, etc. Users found to be doing this will have any and all of their accounts closed, their ISP informed, and, if necessary, court charges brought against them.

iii. You agree, as a user, to all of these terms. If you do not agree, you must delete your account immediately.

V: Donators

i. Donator status lasts for 1 year.

ii. As a donator, a user can not request for a refund.

iii. City-Wars has the right to remove any donator status, before it expires, without refund for any reason.

iv. By donating, you are giving money to the website. You ARE NOT BUYING a donator status. It is a gift which is given to you by City-Wars.

v. All donator tools are available for free.

vi. A donator status is non transferable.

vii. The donator must inform City-Wars by a means of communication that s/he has donated.

viii. Deleting a donator account results in losing your donator status. You can not request it after creating a new account.

ix. Anyone who breaks any of the terms of service may not have a donator status.

VI. City-Wars Rules

i. Giving false information, including but not limited to an email, results in the banning of your account.

ii. You may only own one account. Owning more than one account results in the banning of the second account. If the first and second accounts were interacting, the second account will be deleted and the first account will be reset. If you are caught doing this again, your IP address will be banned from accessing the server and all of your accounts will all be banned.

iii. You may not log into another player's account for any reason. If you are found logging into their account, your account may either be banned or all of your stats reset to zero.

iv. You may not give out the password of your account or of another person's account. Anyone caught doing this will have their account reset to zero and the password reset. The player may retrieve the password by requesting it using the password recovery page.

v. Proxies are not allowed under any circumstances. Proxies are anything which hides a user's true IP address or lets a user do actions over and over again, such as clicking a recruit link. Using a proxy will result in the banning of the offending player.

vi. Scripts are defined as anything which performs an automated process without you being there to do it yourself. Scripts are strictly against the rules, and any user caught using a script will have their stats set to zero on the first offense, and their account banned on the second offense. Further action may be taken depending on the severity of the issue.

vii. Bugs may exist in the City-Wars. If a user finds a bug, it is required by him or her to inform the City-Wars team. If a user fails to notify City-Wars or if the user exploits the bug, the user may be punished. If you fail to report, you are subject to punishment which includes removal of weapons, donator status, or access to areas of City-Wars. If you exploit a bug, the punishments range from resetting your account to banning your IP and account.

viii. Attempting to crack into the database is strictly against the rules. The same goes with targeting players with Trojans or something similar to that. Any attempts to do this will be dealt with severely. You will have your account and IP banned as well as your ISP informed and charges pressed if the attack is severe enough.

ix. Do not spam your recruit link on other websites. City-Wars does not want the reputation of spammers. Therefore, anyone caught spamming his or her link, will have his or her recruiting priveleges removed.

x. All accounts inactive for 3 months or more will be deleted during inactivity checkups. If your account was deleted, and you want to continue to play, feel free to sign up again.

xi. Once you submit all your information for an age, I can not change anything. All choices are final which are including not but limited to race and city-state. If you want to change your race, use the temple or the training page. If you want to change your city-state you may do so on the Change Profile page which will take effect on the next age.

xii. You may not have the same IP address as anyone else. This is done to prevent people abusing multiple accounts. Please note that you may not log into your account if you are using a shared IP address. This includes, but is not limited to schools, offices, and/or hotels. (However, military shared IPs are allowed) Remember, that if your IP matches another players, city-wars believes you are cheating.

VII. Forum Rules

i. All topic subjects must tell readers what type of information is contained within the topic. Do not post topic titles with all question marks or all caps. Doing so will result in the topic title being changed. If it is repeatedly happening, the mod team will contact you. If you do it again after your formal warning, you will be banned from the forums.

ii.No hacking which is including but not limited to trying to crack the database, planting trojans, etc. Doing so results in your account being immediately banned, and if the hacking attempt is serious enough, your ISP informed and charges pressed.

iii. No cursing, trolling, or "annoying" people. Doing so will result in the removal of your posting priveleges. If the violation is severe enough, you will be banned or your account will be reset.

iv. All City-State boards are private. Do not ask for information from any other player from any other city-state or try to get into the other city boards. Doing so will result in a reset of your account.

v. Do not make stupid posts or else they will be deleted. Stupid posts qualify as anything I think is stupid. This is including but not limited to posts which just say "LOL" "your mom" or "newb"

vi. Attempt to make your messages as understandable as possible. This means do not type your posts in all caps, lYiKe tHiiS, or with several trailing question marks or exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!! (Like so) There are exceptions, such as if someone declares that they are going to blow up the server. In that case, you are free to "yell" NOOOO!!!!!!! Punishment for this rule results in your post being edited. If you repeatedly break this rule, you may be warned and then later punished.

v. Do not spam. This is including but not limited to posting recruit links, ads, messages over and over again, and soliciting products.

VIII: Privacy

i. City-Wars reserves the right to store information on your computer in the form of a cookie. If you deny cookies, you may not receive full features of the web site.

ii. All City-Wars users must agree to the Privacy Policy. City-Wars will adhere to the Privacy Policy under all circumstances with the exceptions of any special situations which are covered in this terms of service, including but not limited too database cracks, leaks, and/or damage.

IX: Age Limitations

i. All users must be 13 years of age. If you are not 13 years of age, you can not play without parental consent, which includes submitting the required forms.

X: Misc.

i. All rules can be changed without notice by the administrator. You, as the user, have the sole responsibility to check for any changes. You automatically agree to everything in the terms of service by continuing to visit City-Wars. Additionally, certain exceptions may be made to certain rules if the moderators or administrators feel necessary to do so.
